Mountain biking in the Brabantse Kempen
Four permanent mountain bike routes have been marked out in the Kempen forests, using internationally recognised MTB symbols (a triangle with two circles underneath) in different colours. These routes can be linked together, creating a network of over 120 km. Routes start from Bladel, Eersel, Reusel-De Mierden and Luyksgestel.
In addition, there is the spectacular ‘Het Dak van Netersel’ trail, also in the municipality of Bladel; a black route: extremely difficult, for the serious competitive rider, bike park enthusiast or mountain biker with experience of rocky terrain abroad. Falls here always occur at high speed, the landing is more difficult and the surface – as in a rock garden – is often harder. Definitely not suitable for beginners. The route is classified by the NTFU.
MTB routes are maintained by volunteers from VisitBrabant Routebureau. Is there something wrong with the route signposting? Please let us know via visitbrabant.com/meldpunt. You can also call 0800-4050050 (free of charge).
