The Kroonvensche Heide, together with De Pals, is an area of 508 ha south of Bladel, consisting mainly of coniferous woodland. The River Aa, also known as the Goorloop, flows through the easternmost part of this area. Here, there is a sand trap in the form of a small, dammed-up lake. Deciduous woodland can also be found in the vicinity of the river. There are a number of ponds and small areas of heathland: Het Kroonven, the Oude Kroonven and the Neerven. The most interesting is the Kroonven, a series of three interconnected ponds: Kroonven, Klein Kroonven and Tjop Venneke. Sundew can be found on the banks.
