‘Madonna and Child’

In the churchyard in Bladel stands the liberation monument ‘Mary and Child’. The statue stands on a brick plinth. At the foot of the statue lies a natural stone gravestone, in memory of three soldiers who fell in the Dutch East Indies. This is a symbolic grave. The statue was erected by the local community out of gratitude for the liberation.
