Wim van der Leegte unveiled the ‘Wij Samen’ fountain to mark the opening of the ‘Hart van Hapert’ multi-purpose centre in Hapert.
This fountain, donated by Wim to the community of Hapert in 1995, stood on the Marktplein for many years.
Today, the artwork has been given a new home. At the MFA, that is.
This new multi-purpose facility is a place for meeting and collaboration.
Collaboration fits seamlessly with our family business. It is no coincidence that VDL Groep’s
motto is ‘strength through collaboration’.  
Wim van der Leegte, co-owner and supervisory director of VDL Groep:
“I am very pleased that this fountain has found a new home in front of the main entrance to this magnificent MFA.
I hope that when users of this MFA read the words ‘Wij Samen’ on the fountain, they will come here to work together.
For the benefit of the Hapert community.
Then, as far as I’m concerned, the initiative will have been a resounding success.”
