The ‘Monument to Allied Airmen’ on the Neterselse Heide is a boulder bearing a brass plaque. It was erected in memory of the six crew members of the Stirling BK703 of the 149th Squadron who lost their lives when their bomber was shot down by a German night fighter on the night of 28–29 June 1943 and crashed near this spot. The monument was unveiled on 27 June 2004.
