Maggi cube (cube-shaped stock cube)
The smallest house in Bladel, known as the ‘Maggi cube’, is a day labourer’s cottage dating from 1850.
It is an example of a very simple dwelling, measuring 6 metres wide, 5 metres deep and 4 metres high. Often, the tenant would also practise his trade here, for example as a cigar maker or coppersmith. This cottage was restored in 1994 and is now a listed building. It now forms part of the bungalow built behind it, serving as a bedroom.
