The ‘Oma Neeske’ caravan is the best known and is filled with antiques and bric-a-brac, all in a cosy atmosphere where you can potter about in search of that one lovely little item for your own home.
In the ‘Opa Frans’ gypsy caravan, you step into a tiny old-fashioned grocery shop from days gone by. As well as second-hand goods, you can also pick up some small treats here and, of course, old-fashioned sweets from the glass sweet jar.
Next, you can visit the ‘Ome Sjeng’ wagon. As you step inside, you pass through a tiny chapel, decorated with, amongst other things, old religious statues, crucifixes and the familiar old communion prints. Then, suddenly, you find yourself in an old cellar dating from the early 20th century, fully furnished with items from that era.
The ‘Aunt An’ gypsy wagon, named after a sister of Oma Neeske and Uncle Sjeng, is beautifully decorated in white, blue and wood tones and resembles a little cottage with a cupboard, table, chairs and a cot. Naturally, it’s also full of antiques and vintage bits and bobs. In this gypsy caravan, you’ll also find an old cupboard where a gnome king and gnomes live alongside little mice. Have a sneak peek inside to see what’s going on.
We’re still developing the site, and there’ll be more and more to see and beleven at the gypsy caravan square in Netersel.
