: ‘Groen Hart’ for ‘ Hapert ’ 2026
At the same time as the construction of the little castle (around 1854), the old entrance gate to this avenue (the Kasteellaan) was built. This was
partly to avoid the parallel Nieuwstraat, which was all too often muddy and dusty.
At the same time, thanks to provincial funding, Hapert was connected to the ‘paved road’.
This is now the Oude Provincialeweg.
The current entrance gate is a replica of the old gate that disappeared years ago.
