The BUS Whisky Theatre Show

Enjoy an unforgettable evening full of stories, music and a delightful whisky experience at ‘The BUS Whisky Theatre Show’.

In this interactive theatre show, Dennis Hurkmans, founder of BUS Whisky, tells the fascinating story of whisky and the origins of his company. He takes you on a journey through whisky country, guiding you past all the highlights and surprises that whisky has to offer. From a dying cherry orchard, a failed beer project and a water source that turned out not to be a spring at all, right through to the bank’s special assets department; all the setbacks BUS has overcome are covered. Right up to the international accolade. And what does the oldest dress in the Netherlands have to do with BUS Whisky? A remarkable story told with humour and passion, interspersed with anecdotes and interesting facts about the world of whisky. Between the stories, you’ll be treated to a tasting of five different whiskies, harmoniously paired with the powerful, warm sounds of live music. The musical accompaniment is provided by Björn van der Doelen. A unique collaboration that promises an evening full of humour, inspiration and sensory delight – even for those who aren’t (yet) whisky enthusiasts.
Depending on the date and/or region, the tour will be accompanied by the raw, honest songs of Björn van der Doelen (Southern Netherlands) or the impressive voice of Erwin Nyhoff (Northern Netherlands). The programmer is aware of which musician will be performing at your theatre and may include their name in the text.
