Puur de Nijs – A Tribute to Rob de Nijs

Since 2022, Puur de Nijs has been paying tribute to Rob de Nijs. Now that Rob has sadly passed away on 16 March 2025, this theatre production has taken on even greater significance.

Many fans of Rob de Nijs in the Netherlands have already had the chance to see the show. Following two fantastic theatre tours with many sold-out performances, PUUR DE NIJS is returning in the 2026–2027 season with a new show.

Marcel Mulders and his five-piece band will, of course, be playing the very best songs, whilst singer Marcel shares entertaining stories about the Netherlands’ greatest artist, sometimes with a touch of humour and a personal twist. You can also enjoy stunning video footage shown during various songs.

Enjoy classics such as ‘Mallebabbe’, ‘Zondag’ and ‘Het werd zomer’. But also new songs such as ‘Wat als later nu is’ and a few surprising tracks written by Rob’s fellow artists.

Don’t expect a Rob lookalike or soundalike; this is a tribute to Rob de Nijs, performed with respect. All the songs are drawn from real life and are relatable, creating a special connection amongst the audience – and you can really feel it in the venue.

And the feedback has been so positive:
‘It was a lovely evening of music, with Rob’s songs performed with great care. A tribute to a top artist whose songs we can still beleven live once more’.
‘It was a brilliant evening. We enjoyed it from start to finish!’
“PUUR DE NIJS manages to combine the intimacy of some songs with the well-known sing-alongs in the theatre”. PUUR DE NIJS performs them with great respect.”
