A chest full of St Nicholas songs: Apennoten

Especially for the St Nicholas season, Apennoten have put together a cheerful show packed with St Nicholas songs! There are songs you might already know, but also brand-new Apennoten St Nicholas songs! For example, what’s all this fuss about sweets?

All the pepernoten and speculaas biscuits have gone! Just like every Apennoten performance, the St Nicholas show is once again highly interactive. We’ll be making music together, because as well as pepernoten, there are of course musical notes too! The children are welcome to sing along and dance. And what on earth is in that chest?

The show features all sorts of songs from the programme *Apennoten*, which is broadcast on NPO Zapp. These songs are performed in a small ensemble by Nienke or Saskia, accompanied by guitar and the *Apennoten* sampler. Children in the audience can join in with every song. How? For example, by singing along, playing an instrument or dancing. The songs can be listened to in advance on the KRO-NCRV or Schooltv websites.

The songs are interspersed with stories, told by the singer and the children in the audience. This creates a musical, theatrical show that entertains and moves the audience from start to finish. Just like on television, the children learn about music through play.

Ages 3 to 7, duration: 45 minutes
